It is important to remember that success (weight loss especially) is not linear, there are always going to be ups and downs. It can be extremely hard when you feel like you are giving 110% effort, yet are still not where you want to be.
For myself, I’ve had days where I feel and look amazing – muscles full and pumped, waist tight, full of energy.. and the next day I feel flat, bloated and tired. There are so many variables when working with the body — hormones, water, recovery time, sodium, sleep, time of day, etc. These are all things that are going to effect your physique, mood, and performance in the gym.
This is why consistency and discipline are KEY. Do not get discouraged!!
It is so easy to overlook all of your accomplishments and put yourself down for one tiny thing that is not in your favour; but there is so much good to focus on! Do not let something like gaining 1lb dampen your vibes or motivation, look for wins daily, even if it is not in the form of weight loss. Every challenge is an opportunity to preserve and push our comfort zones.
Stay consistent and disciplined with your training and nutrition – results will come.
